Call to Worship
L: I will extol thee, my God and King, and bless thy name for ever and ever.
P: Every day I will bless thee, and praise thy  name, for ever and ever.

Prayer of Invocation: Dear Lord Jesus, you say to us, “Behold, I stand at the door and knock: if any man hear my voice and open the door, I will come in to him and will sup with him and he with me,” and we answer thee, “O Jesus, thy father’s son, come in, blessed of the Lord!” Amen.

Prayer of Confession:  Almighty God, make us your ambassadors.  Your words and deeds are filled with mercy and truth but we fall short.  Fill us with your Holy Spirit that we might see the gift that you have given to us in the Lord Jesus.  Forgive us for giving in to fear, coldness of heart, cowardice, indifference and lies. Release us from the grip of these things and remove all that stands in the way of hearing the word of truth and the good news of salvation, that the eyes of our hearts might be enlightened and we might know the hope to which you have called us.  Amen. (time of silent confession)

Assurance of Pardon: The mercy of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting.  May the God of mercy who forgives you all your sins, strengthen you in all goodness and by the power of the Holy Spirit keep you in eternal life.  Hear the good news
P: In Jesus Anointed we are forgiven. Amen.
